Favorite Searches

Save your favorite internet-radio searches as named shortcuts. They appear as their own sections on the home screen and can be refreshed there at any time.

What is a favorite search?

A favorite search is a saved search query that you can re-run any time — for example „Jazz", „Lo-Fi" or „News".

The Bosman app remembers the search query, the radio service and any active filters (country, language). When you refresh, the stations are reloaded with exactly those settings — new matching stations appear automatically.

Save a search as a favorite

  1. Open the Discover tab.
  2. Type your search term (e.g. „jazz") and adjust country/language filters if you want.
  3. Once results appear, tap the star icon on the right side of the search bar.
  4. Choose a unique name for your favorite (the search query is pre-filled).
  5. Tap Save — the star fills and the new favorite immediately appears as its own section on your home screen.

Manage favorites on the home screen

  • Refresh: Tap the refresh icon in the section header to reload the stations.
  • Rename or delete: Tap the three-dot menu next to the refresh icon to rename or remove the favorite.
  • Play a station: Tap any station card to play it on the selected speaker.

Rename a favorite

  1. On the home screen, tap the three-dot menu in the favorite's section header.
  2. Choose Rename.
  3. Enter the new name and tap Save.

Note: every name must be unique. If the name is already taken the Save button is disabled and a hint is shown.

Remove a favorite

There are two ways to remove a favorite:

  • From the home screen: Three-dot menu → Delete → Confirm.
  • From the Discover tab: Type the same search query again, tap the filled star icon and confirm the removal.

Removing a favorite only deletes the saved shortcut. The stations themselves remain available on the internet and can be searched again any time.

When are stations refreshed?

  • When you save a favorite, the current search results are taken over directly.
  • When you start the app, the most recently loaded stations are shown from the local cache.
  • Use the refresh button to reload a fresh list whenever you want.

There is no automatic background refresh — you stay in control of when a search is re-run.
